Marie Barnett Mendoza

Granite Falls, NC- Mrs. Marie Barnett Mendoza, age 61, of Granite Falls, died Sunday, May 18, 2008 at her home. Born November 10, 1946 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Mendoza was a daughter of the late Glen Ernest McGee and Mrs. Alda McGee of Lenoir. Mrs. Mendoza had worked as an inspector with the FDA. Surviving other than her mother are four sons; Roy Minton and Renneth Minton both of Granite Falls; Doug Minton and wife Wendy of Lenoir; Travis Minton of Hudson; three brothers, Bill McGee of Collettsville; Bobby McGee and wife Wanda; David McGee and Steven McGee, all of Lenoir; 2 sisters, Mary Beth Chester and husband David and Paula Colley and husband Billy all of Lenoir and 7 grandchildren. Other than her father, she was preceded in death by one son, Michael Minton, one daughter, Leann Minton and three brothers, George, Roger and Renneth Minton. A private graveside service will be held Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Kings Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Edd Greene officiating.
