Marie Moore Bowman

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Marie Moore Bowman, age 76, of Lenoir, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at her home. Born April 27, 1935 in Caldwell County, Marie was a daughter of the late Thomas Russell and Hattie Bradshaw Moore. Marie was Baptist by faith and was a lifelong member of the Zacks Fork Baptist Church. She had worked at Singer Furniture for many years. She also worked as a CAN and an Avon Lady. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Bowman; a son, Randy Bowman; two brothers, James and Tommy Moore; a grandson, Ronnie Bowman; and a great granddaughter, Jazmine Price. She is survived by two sons and a daughter in law, Thomas “T.W.” Bowman of Lenoir, and Bruce and Lisa Bowman of Vale; three daughters and a son in law, Pam and Gib Petree, Reba Bowman, and Judi Austin all from Lenoir; four brothers and sisters in law, Sammy and Betty Moore of Lenoir, B.B. and Nina Moore of Spring Hill, TN, Claude and Gay Moore of Mocksville, NC, Paul Moore of Boone; five sisters and brothers in law, Dorothy Laws of Lenoir, Emily Shearer of Pawley’s Island, SC, Lucy and Lewis Buchanan of Roanoke, VA, Vonnie Jones of Charleston, SC, and Debbie Moore of Sawmills; she is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous other relatives. A memorial service celebrating Marie’s life will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service at 4:00 PM. Officiating will be Pastor Ronnie Watson and Pastor Joby Borders. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
