Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Margie ?Peggy? Moore, age 80, of Lenoir, died Sunday, June 22, 2008 in Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born August 15, 1927 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Moore was a daughter of the late Albert Sydney and Mary Crump Heffner and the wife of the late Carroll E. Moore. Mrs. Moore was a member of Temple Baptist Church and retired cafeteria worker with the Caldwell County School System. She is survived by 4 daughters, Janice George Stewart and husband John; Carol Shehan and husband Jimmy; Mary Flynn and husband Mike and Cynthia Brown and husband Jimmy all of Lenoir; 2 sons, Bobby George of Hudson and Duke Moore and wife Teresa of Lenoir; one sister, Kathleen Cardwell of Gamewell; one brother, Billy Heffner and wife Loretta of Lenoir, one aunt, Jessie Gibson of Lenoir, 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, one sister and one son, Roger D. Moore. A celebration of Mrs. Moore?s life will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, June 24, 2008 in Temple Baptist Church with Reverend Joel Bixler and Reverend Randy Gibson officiating. Entombment will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:30 until 7:00 PM, prior to the service at Temple Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be: Carroll Moore, Donny Coffey, Mark Minton, Steve Cardwell, Ronnie Cardwell and Dennis Minton. Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 1306 NW Old North Road, Lenoir, NC 28645.
