Mrs. Margaret H. Wilson, 93, of Hudson, N. C., died Monday, January 11, 2021.A native of Cleveland County, she was the ninth of ten children born to the late Dora Canipe Harrelson and Eugene Ray Harrelson. After graduating from high school and the Evans College of Commerce in Gastonia, Margaret worked in the business world for many years.However, in her early 40’s and determined to become a teacher, she enrolled at Sacred Heart Academy, ultimately graduating from Belmont Abbey College with a degree in education.She then taught primary school in Belmont for an additional twenty years before retiring from the Gaston County Schools. Margaret was a driven, hard-working, energetic, high-spirited soul with a beautiful singing voice. She was a perfectionist about her appearance and her home.She liked to tell jokes and loved gospel music.In their younger years, she and Todd enjoyed square dancing and belonged to several clubs in Gastonia.As a member of Hudson United Methodist Church in Hudson, Margaret was extremely dedicated to the choir. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Todd Wilson, and her siblings: Mildred, Ruby, Ruth, Helen, Ray, Marshall, Dan, John, and Jack. She is survived by her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Tshaus Wilson, and beloved grandchildren, Emily and Ethan Wilson, of Hudson.She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Doris Harrelson of Bessemer City and brother-in-law, Carson Wilson (Nelda) of Belmont.She will also be missed by her nieces, Barbara, Janet, Joyce, Lynne, Nancy, Teri, and nephew, Doug, who visited her as often as possible. The family will have a private graveside service to celebrate Margaret’s life.
