Margaret Sullivan

Hudson – Mrs. Margaret Piercy Sullivan, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Caldwell Hospice. She was born in Caldwell County on March 4, 1929 to the late William and Parylee Piercy. Mrs. Sullivan always placed her family first and she loved to cook and crochet. She enjoyed working in her yard and was an avid card player. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Lenard Sullivan; daughters, Melody Ann Sullivan and Melinda Sullivan Keaton; and brothers, Junior Piercy and Robert Piercy. She is survived by her daughter, Ginger Sullivan Day and husband, Myron; grandchildren, Josh Day and wife, Kelly; Mindy Rice and husband, Franklin; great-grandchildren, Lane Rice; Charlee Rice; Henry Day and Palmer Day; her brother, Fred Piercy and wife, Betty; and numerous other family members. A graveside service celebrating Mrs. Sullivan’s life will be held at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jim Evans and her nephew, Johnny Piercy officiating. Mrs. Sullivan will lie in state in the chapel of Evans Funeral Service from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to the service.
