Margaret Roseann Russ

Hudson, NC – Mrs. Margaret Roseann Russ, age 73, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Mrs. Russ was born in Ashe County on October 30, 1939 to the late Chester Eldrith and Maude Killian Eldrith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel (Junior) Russ, Jr.; 5 brothers, Bill Eldrith, Gary Eldrith, Larry Eldrith,Tob Eldrith, Lavon Eldrith; and sister, Flora Vines Lavon Eldrith. She is survived by two daughters; Jan Phillips and husband, Robert Phillips, Jr. of Hudson; Dorine Russ and J.C. Maxey of Catawba; son, Daniel Russ III(Danny) and Gena Barnes of Hudson; Eddie Hulin and wife Donna of West Jefferson; 5 grandsons, Ricky Watson, Jr., Daniel Russ IV, Tyler Russ, James Cody Russ, Anthony Hulin; 1 granddaughter, Amber Danielle Russ. She held the key to her heart two adopted granddaughters, Brittney Moody Raby, and Sarah Lynn Moody; 2 great-grandchildren, Blake and Coty Hulin; and survived by numerous nieces and nephews; 2 brothers; Joseph Eldrith, Earl Eldrith; 3 sisters, Pearl McGhinnis, Jean Combs, Sherry (Judy) Osborne, her aunt Jewel Dunn, Louise Moses; and a very dear friend Elsie Reece. A celebration of Mrs. Russ’ life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 2:00 PM. Entombment will take place immediately following the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
