Margaret Annette Murphy

 Granite Falls, NC- Mrs. Margaret “Maggie” Bentley Murphy, age 46, of Granite Falls, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at her home. Born September 27, 1962, she was a daughter of Lloyd Wayne Bentley and the late Linda Bentley. Mrs. Murphy was a member of Laytown Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and also the pianist. She was a homemaker and babysitter of two year old Scottlyn Bailey, and had a great love for children. She is survived by her husband, Danny Lee Murphy of the home; one son, Spc. Dale Eugene Murphy of the home; her father, Lloyd Wayne Bentley of Hudson; one sister, Brenda Rice of Hudson; one brother and sister in law, Greg and Courtney Bentley of Hudson; two nephews, Dalton James Murphy and Byron Rice; one niece, Crystal Shuffler; her father and mother in law, Wayne and Emma Ann Murphy of Granite Falls; a sister in law, Rita Bentley of Granite Falls; and a brother and sister in law, Keith and Vanessa Murphy of Lenoir; she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of life for Maggie will be held on Saturday May 16, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service. Officiating will be Rev. Landon Rice. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service. Memorials can be made to the American Red Cross at P.O. Box 774, Lenoir, NC 28645.
