Margaret Griffin Lawson

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Margaret Griffin Lawson, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Lenoir Park. She was born in Burke County on October 27, 1928 to the late Fred and Annie Shew Griffin. She was married to the late Cecil M. Lawson. Mrs. Lawson was a member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly in Icard, NC. She retired from Alba Hosiery in Valdese after 43 years of service. Other than her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Mitch Griffin. She is survived by her daughter, Sandi L. Crouch and son-in-law, Tracy W. Crouch of Dudley Shoals; sister, Betty G. Lowman; granddaughter, Gina H. Teague and husband, Scott; grandsons, Mason and Abram Teague; and several nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Dudley Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Brian Lowman of South Hills Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC officiating. The family respectfully requests that memorials be sent to Caldwell Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
