Margaret Taylor Braswell

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Margaret Taylor Braswell, age 89, of Lenoir, died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Shaire Center in Lenoir. Born November 24, 1920 in Avery County, Mrs. Braswell was a daughter of the late Eliam and Vettie Wilson Pritchard. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Taylor, her second husband Harry Braswell; 3 sisters, Dovie Stamey, Ruby Deaton and Pauline Pyatt; 3 brothers, Delmar Penley, Whitie Pritchard and Ken Pritchard and one step-grandson, Ethan Braswell. Mrs. Braswell was the last charter member of Lakeview Baptist Church and had worked as a seamstress. She is survived by one daughter, Janice Taylor Eavenson and husband Pete of Hudson; one son, Sonny Taylor and wife Nancy of Hudson; 2 step-sons, Eric Braswell and wife Amy of Grace Chapel; Dean Braswell and wife Shelby of Boomer; 3 sisters, Floretta Colvard and husband Kenneth of Lenoir; Sylvia Biggerstaff of Rutherfordton; Florence Curtis of Burlington; one brother, Damon Pritchard and wife Ruby of Altemont; 4 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mrs. Braswell?s life will be held 3:00 PM Friday, January 1, 2010 at Lakeview Baptist Church with Reverend Ron Burgett and Reverend Robert Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:30 until 3 PM, prior to the service at Lakeview Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be: Brandon Harris, Robin Setzer, Jason Taylor, Brad Eavenson, Tim Colvard, Shober Setzer and Josh Majer.
