Marcella Drum Seagle

Hudson, NC- Mrs. Marcella Drum Seagle, age 76, of Hudson, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Hudson. Born April 21, 1936 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Seagle was a daughter of the late Clinton and Lula Belle Garnes Drum and the wife of the late James Ross Seagle. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a Great-Granddaughter, Caitlyn Ann Brown. Mrs. Seagle was retired from textiles and a member of Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Brown and husband Ricky; Peggy Kanupp and husband Terry; one brother, Paul Drum and wife Claudia; 4 Grandchildren, Kevin Brown and wife Kristin; Angela Waters and husband Scottie, Shannon Banks and husband Clif; Brandon Kanupp; 4 Great-Grandchildren, Caden Brown, Bella Waters, Chloe Banks and Sadie Banks. A celebration of Mrs. Seagle’s life will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church with Reverend Nicky Waters officiating. Burial will follow in the Hibriten Baptist Church Cemetery in Hudson. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:30 until 8:00 PM at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church in Hudson. Pallbearers will be: Kevin Brown, Clint Drum, Brandon Kanupp, Kelly Drum, Jeff Drum, Clif Banks, Scottie Waters and Josh Goforth.
