Manuel Lee Adams

Manuel Lee Adams, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

Manuel was born on September 1, 1951, to the late Ms. Dallas Adams.

In addition to his mother, Manuel is preceded in death by his older brother, Bruce Adams.

Those left to cherish Manuel’s memory are his wife of 53 years, Melissa Adams; sons, Jason Adams, Shane Adams (Chastity); grandchildren, Emma (Gabriel), Jacob, Joshua, Amber (Hunter), Brittany, Coleson, Cody, Abby, Dylan; great grandchild, Denver; brother, Melvin Adams; sister, Vada Nelson, and friends too numerous to number.

Manuel was a great husband, father, grandfather, and provider. Manuel spent 57 years of his life working in the furniture industry in Lenoir, and was a fine craftsman of furniture. He loved his family and his grandkids. Manuel never met a stranger. He helped a lot of homeless people, and for the last several years he participated in a local food drive every Friday for those in need. Manuel made friends everywhere he went.

Manuel was very fond of saying “Don’t worry be happy”.

The family is going to miss all the gut punches from dad. Close family and friends will miss seeing Manuel indulging in his favorite snacks; marshmallows, circus peanuts, tootsie rolls, fireball candy. Manuel will be missed so greatly by his family, friends and all who knew him. He was the leader of the pack who took pride in caring for his family and friends.

A gathering of friends to celebrate Manuel’s life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans.
