Maggie Martin Brown

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Maggie Martin Brown, age 97, of Lenoir, died Sunday, March 8, 2009 in Lenoir Health Care Center. Born December 5, 1911 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Brown was a daughter of the late Soloman Patrick and Mary Geniva Roberts Martin and the wife of the late ?Firch? Clyde Firchus Brown to whom she was married 48 years. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, George Martin Brown and 3 sisters and 4 brothers. She is survived by 4 daughters, Linda Jones and husband Billy of Lenoir; Margaret Bryant of Lenoir; Mary Edminston of Morganton; Josephine Chester and husband Howard of Lenoir; 2 sons, Ronald Brown of Lenoir; Steve Brown and wife Carolyn of Granite Falls; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Brown?s life will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Bethel Advent Christian Church with Reverend Frank Hall and Reverend Jerry Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 until 3 PM, one hour prior to the service at the church.
