Mack Triplett

Granite Falls, NC- Mack Triplett, age 79, of Granite Falls, NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 11. Now he strolls the streets of glory with his parents, Zebulon Vance and Georgia Hall Triplett. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Glen Triplett, Hubert Triplett, Tamery Triplett, Comadore Triplett, William Triplett and his twin, Jack Triplett; his sisters: Nina Ray Edmisten, Mable Keller and Anna Watson. With his departure from this life to his eternal home in Heaven, he leaves his wife of 40 years, 11 months, Janet Summerow Triplett. Others he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his three sons: Tracy (Diane) of Hudson, NC, Mack “Daryl” (Sandra) of Lenoir, NC, Travis (Beverly) of Hudson, NC; one daughter, Sharon Keller (Charles) of Hudson, NC; two step-sons: Mike Wilson(Pamela) of Morganton, NC and Jeffery “Darryl” Wilson of the home; and his only surviving sister, Hazel Triplett Aldridge of Lenoir, NC. From all of his children listed above he had twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren who will always remember him as their beloved Pawpaw Monkey. Mack loved his Lord, family, friends, church and bluegrass music. He enjoyed playing music with his friends: Jack Thompson, Chuck Jenkins, Andy Miller and other bluegrass picking buddies in the Overall Gang. A celebration of Mack’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 4:00 with Pastor John Jernigan officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Phillip Walker, Adam Triplett, Dedrick Long, Jason Dancy, Josh Dancy, and Junior Watson. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 prior to the service.
