Mack Clark

Mack Stuart Clark passed away January 18, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones.He was born October 14, 1929 in Caldwell County to the late Finley Lihue and Margaret Leola Clark.He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jo Clark, brothers Zack Clark, Theodore “Dump” Clark, Bruce Clark, Harding Clark, and Wallace Clark and sisters Evie Watson, Ollie Walker, Hazel Clark, and Margaret Clark. Mack is survived by son Terry Clark and wife Jennifer and two beloved grandsons Zach Clark and wife Emily and Ethan Clark and girlfriend Madison Weaver; and one great-grandson whom he adored, Beckett Clark. Mack worked in the furniture industry his entire life. He dearly loved telling stories about his family and growing up in the Valmead area. His sidekick and nephew, Jake Watson, had many adventures together walking to the movie theater in Lenoir. Mack was blessed with wonderful friends and neighbors. His main hobby was tending to his farm in Collettsville, which he loved immensely. A celebration of Mack’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on January 23, 2020 at 2:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Military Honors provided by the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Family Care Center, 2875 Highland Avenue NE, Hickory, NC 28601.
