In Loving Memory

Lynette Christine Aguilar

September 30, 1961 — August 24, 2023

Lenoir, NC

Lynette Christine Aguilar, age 61, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on August 24, 2023, at the Robbins Center in Hudson, NC. Christine was born on September 30, 1961, to proud parents'; the late John Joseph Aguilar Sr., Tech Sergeant US Air Force, and Norma E. Aguilar, who became a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse. In addition to her father, Christine is preceded in death by her brother, Bishop John Joseph Aguilar II, and Alba Achin, who was like a second mother to Christine for more than 30 years. Those left to cherish Christine’s memory are her mother Norma E. Aguilar; stepmother, Mary Ellis Aguilar; and sisters, Darla H. Bernath, Bridgett A. Placeres, Michelle A. McCombs, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She also left behind her cheerful, lovable, little dog, Bella.

Christine brought a radiant light to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her dedication to education set her on a path of remarkable achievements, and she was the first in her family to attend college. Through persistence and a steadfast spirit, she earned several credentials including Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP-BC) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Christine's love for education shone brightly as she mentored, trained, and guided others towards achieving their personal aspirations while also working toward a PhD at the time of her passing. Christine's legacy endures in her faith, her accomplishments, and her radiant kindness. With every memory, she still lives on through the lives that she touched. While the pain of her absence is keenly felt, her spirit finds solace in the embrace of her Savior.

In honor of Christine's memory, the family suggests contributions to two organizations:

https://rapha.org/ - Rapha International provides aftercare for survivors of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, abuse, and family preservation programs in vulnerable communities.

https://www.bearswhocare.org/donate - A charity dedicated to bringing a smile to a child's face with a teddy bear and a book.
