Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Lula Bell Price, age 76, of Lenoir, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born November 27, 1935 in Watauga County, Lula was a daughter of the late Isaac & Loretta Watson. Lula was Baptist by faith and was a member of the Blue Creek Baptist Church for over 40 years. She had worked for a number of years at Broyhill Furniture. She loved her church, enjoyed working puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Horton Price; three brothers, Odell Watson, Clemen Watson, and Andrew Watson; four sisters, Avis Church, Leslie Greene, Ola Triplett, and Deli Miller; and a grandson, David Carter Price. Survivors include her sons and a daughter in law, Wayne and Wanda Price, Gene Price, and Randy Price all from Lenoir; a sister, Vernie Miller of Lenoir; two grandchildren, Jennifer Price and Brandy Lovatto; three great grandchildren, Dalton Kaylor, Jillian Locklear, Evan Lovatto. A celebration of Lula’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Blue Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Jack Lewis and Pastor Frank Hall officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Laura Haven Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Dalton Kaylor, Gary Setzer, Dale Porter, Bobby Greene, Alan Church and Ian Lovatto. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Sherrill Greene.
