Lucille Barlow Crump

Lenoir – Mrs. Lucille Ermma Barlow Crump, age 103, departed from this earthly body Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in Lenoir.Born February 14, 1911 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Crump was a daughter of the late John Larkin and Martha Bettie Pope Barlow and the wife of the late Reverend Gordon A. Crump. Other than her parents and husband, she had outlived her 13 brothers and sisters: Rob, Charles, Parks, Will, Cloyd, Fritts, Spencer, Clarence, Mary, Toye, Edna, Eller and Ann.She was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth A. Crump. Mrs. Crump was a member of Community Baptist Church.She served as a pastor’s wife for numerous years in Caldwell and Burke Counties and in Tennessee.She worked in the textile industry and in her later years in the kitchen of the Shaire Center.It was there where she made her home in the last few years with her extended Shaire Center Family. She leaves behind two daughters, Juanita Heaps; Modean Stilwell and husband Clifford and one son; F. Jack Crump.She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 34 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild. A celebration of Mrs. Crump’s life will be held 2:00 PM Friday, November 21, 2014 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Waitsel Beard officiating.Burial will follow in the Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be:Junior Davis, Bryson Annas, Steve Stilwell, Kyle Keller, Robert Piercy and Chad McCall. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, one hour prior to the service at Evans Funeral Service.
