Hudson, NC- Mr. Lucas Thomas Reece, age 28, of Hudson, passed away at his home on July 17, 2010. Born September 2, 1981, Lucas was a son of Robin Price Reece and Reggie Allen Reece. Lucas was Pentecostal by faith and had worked for Sonoco of Granite Falls. He will be remembered for the love he had for his wife and children. He still found the time to include his parents and siblings and grandparents on trips to the mountains and beaches. His favorite and most recent was attending the the Ripley?s Aquarium in Gatlinburg. He loved his children and was always telling people of the things they did. He was very proud of his baby brother and loved taking him places and making people think it was his baby. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Calloway and Mr. & Mrs. George Reece; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom & Esther Price ( Henderson); his beautiful baby niece that he loved dearly, Rebekah Renee Reece. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of almost 11 years, Mindy Carol Clarke Reece, two daughters, Destiny Michaella Reece, and MaKenzy Marie Reece; a son, Isaac Thomas Reece; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Ethan and Rachel Reece, Garon Chase Reece and Caleb Blake Reece; his paternal grandparents, Elsie and Richard Reece; his maternal grandmother, Ms. Virginia Price; a nephew, Seth Grant; he is also survived by numerous other relatives. A memorial service for Lucas will take place on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 2:00PM at the East Hudson Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Bentley officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the church from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service.
