Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Louise Houck Thompson, age 77, of Lenoir, died Thursday, February 08, 2007 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born April 12, 1929 in Mountain City, TN, Mrs. Thompson was a daughter of the late Estell and Ada Johnson Houck and the wife of the late Charles Edwin Thompson. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Central Baptist Church in Whitnel and was retired from Fairfield Chair with 33 years of service. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Thompson Barnette and husband Mike of Wilkesboro; two sons, Joseph Michael Thompson and wife Becky of Lenoir; Tommy Mitchell Thompson of Lenoir; one sister, Ola McGuiness of Lenoir; one brother, Carl Houck and wife Hilda Mae of Lenoir; 2 grandsons, Brandon Michael Barnette of Wilkesboro; Charles Lee Thompson of Lenoir and one granddaughter, Emily Thompson Church of Lenoir. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, J.T. Houck and two sisters, Dora Houck and Grace Houck. Funeral services for Mrs. Thompson will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Central Baptist Church in Whitnel with Pastor Julie O?Neal and Reverend Hugh Kincaid officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 9, 2007 from 6:30 until 8:30 PM at Evans Funeral Service in Lenoir.
