Louise Correll Soots

Mrs. Mary “Louise” Correll Soots, age 92, of Hudson passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the Shaire Center in Lenoir. Born July 19, 1929 in Caldwell County, Louise was a daughter of the late Nelson and Maude Rainey Correll.Louise enjoyed knitting and working on family genealogy.She also was the saxophone player in the Lenoir Community Band.She loved to toot her horn.In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Soots; four brothers, Norman Correll, Stanley Correll, Howard Correll and Charles Correll; three sisters, Ruth Rosen, Betty Hathcock and Shirley Hemphill. Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Nelson and Kathy Soots; two special sisters in law, Janie Correll and Esta Correll; a brother in law, Charles Hathcock; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A graveside celebration of Louise’s life will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Pastor Nicky Waters and Pastor Adam Love officiating.
