Louise Huffman

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Louise Benfield Huffman, age 77, of Lenoir passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Lenoir Health Care and Rehabilitation. Born October 8, 1939 in Caldwell County, Louise was a daughter of Faye Irene Austin Benfield and the late Gladwin “Cap” Henry Benfield. Louise was a seamer and will be remembered as a loving wife and mother. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Benfield; and an infant sister, Barbara Benfield. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Jimmy Huffman of the Home; two daughters, Lisa Ryder (husband Marty Capps) and Dawn Huffman Ryder (husband Jim); a brother, Dal Benfield (wife Lynda); four grandchildren, Wesley Allen Ryder (wife Amanda Vaughn Ryder), Timothy “Dusty” Ryder, Chelsea Ryder Edwards (husband Cody Britt Edwards) and Caleb Lee Ryder; five great grandchildren, Naylen Ryder, Kale Ryder, Easton Edwards, CJ Ryder and Ava Edwards; she is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service celebrating Louise’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service.
