Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Lottie Elina “Bo Peep” Harper Ferguson, age 70, of Lenoir, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at her home. Born June 21, 1941 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Ferguson was a daughter of the late Kenneth Dixon and Willow Harper. Mrs. Ferguson was a member of the Little Rock AME Church and active at the MLK Jr. Center. She had worked for Singer Furniture, Ingles and Grace Heights. She is survived by her husband, A.J. Ferguson, of the home; children, Gwendolyn Ferguson of Morganton; Renita Ferguson, Delmar Ferguson and A.J. Ferguson, Jr. and wife Leslie, all of Lenoir; step-daughter, Myra Mathies of Morganton; 5 grandchildren, Darrin Ferguson, Jakyrus Moore, Michael Moore and wife Roxanne, Shaquill Hawkins; 3 great-grandchildren, James, Mia and Mayla Mickles and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church with Ms. Mary Lloyd, Rev. Chris Avery, Rev. James Perkins, Rev. Larry Smith and Minister Yvette Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Belleview Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from noon until 1 PM at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be: Rev. Chris Avery, Cameron Harper, Michael Steptoe, Allen Parker, Jr. and Rev. Jimmy Norwood.
