Lorraine Harris Rader

Hudson, NC- Mrs. Lorraine Belle Harris Rader, age 91, of Hudson, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Shaire Center in Lenoir. Born September 14, 1921 in Caldwell County, Lorraine was a daughter of the lateJames Perkins and Mabel Phillips Harris. She retired after working 30 years with the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of Hudson First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Haywood Rader; and two brothers, Norman Harris and Eugene Harris. Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Jimmy and Lois Rader of Hudson; two sisters, Anita Miller of Dudley Shoals and Barbara Crump of College Pines; two grandchildren, Tracy Rader Fleming, husband Donnie, of Hudson and Jamie Rader, wife Mary Kate, of Hudson; six great grandchildren, Taylor Johnson, MacKenzie Fleming, Meredith Rader, Ethan Rader, Kaitlyn Rader and Dalton McGee; she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Lorraine’s life will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Hudson with Pastor Jim Hamby and Pastor Edd Warren officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Sardis Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 PM, one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be: Jamie Rader, Donnie Fleming, Barry Harris, Britt Harris, Jerry Crump and Welsey Crump. Memorials can be made to the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard at P.O.
