Loretta Smith

Morganton- Mrs. Loretta Bowman Smith, age 66, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. She was born in Caldwell County on December 9, 1953 to the late George and Sarah Bowman. Mrs. Smith was married to George Smith of the home for 51 years. She will always be remembered for her kindness and willingness to help others. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by all of her 11 brothers and sisters. Other than her husband, she is survived by her son, Eric Smith; daughter, Kim Barrier and husband, Chris; grandchildren, Ashley Murdock and Samantha Barrier; and great-grandson, Reuben Murdock. The family will have a private memorial service.
