Lenoir- Mrs. Loree Decker Seagle, age 85, of Lenoir, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Caldwell Hospice in Lenoir. Born August 20, 1931 in Caldwell County, Loree was a daughter of the late John and Bessie Bell Decker. She had worked at Fairfield Furniture for 40 years. She was an avid square dancer, loved bowling, camping and playing bingo. Loree will be greatly missed by family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Seagle, Jr; two sisters, Annabell Southard and Jessie Malinowski; a brother, Ernest Bradley. Survivors include her children, Mitzi White, Norman Chandler, Nancy Bryant, Francine Guild and Jerry Chandler (wife Kim), Michael Seagle, Donna White (husband Larry), Brenda Cannon (husband Keith); a sister, Dorothy Holder; she is also survived by 21 grandchildren,30 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives. A celebration of Loree’s life will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Pastor Doug Cox and Pastor Larry Winebarger officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Hibriten Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
