Lora Trivette Roberts

Evans Funeral Service & Crematory 754-7979 January 31, 2011 Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Lora Trivette Roberts, age 83, passed away quietly on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. She and her late husband, Max, founded Roberts Star Insurance Agency, and ran it until their retirement. For many years they raised cattle on their beautiful farm. Until recent years they raised and furnished flowers for the Whitnel United Methodist Church where she was an active member. Born in Watauga County on July 14, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Drew and Lizzie Harmon Trivette. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her late husband, Max K. Roberts. Four brothers, Lance, Lloyd, Albert, and Auborn Trivette, and six sisters, Cazzie Harmon, Lena Dishman, Francis Combs, Lola Mae Trivette, Loy Lookadoo, and Carrie Greene. Lora is survived by a sister in law, Stella Roberts, a brother in law Chancey Luckadoo, and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by god daughters Rita Joines and Barbara Gentry. A celebration of Mrs. Robert’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service. Reverend Leon Morrow will officiate. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 prior to the service.
