Lois Mae St. John Moore

Lenoir, NC – Mrs. Lois Mae St. John Moore, age 79, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care. Mrs. Moore was born on May 8, 1931 in Caldwell County to the late Spencer and Connie Shoemake St. John. Mrs. Moore was retired from the Comfort Inn in Lenoir and was a member of Zack’s Fork Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Moore and a son, James Edmisten. She is survived by her son, Terry Watson and wife, Regina; daughter, Patsy Hamby and husband, Dwight; daughter, Kathy Miller; daughter, Marrianne Shew and husband, Larry; son, Bill Edmisten and wife Carolyn; son, Larry Edmisten and wife, Joan; daughter, Linda Sparks and husband Casey; daughter Lisa Sparks and husband, Michael; daughter, Jamie Edmisten; sister, Georgia St. John; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. The funeral service for Mrs. Moore will be held at 2:00 on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Zack’s Fork Baptist Church with Pastor Ronnie Watson officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Phillips, Adam Richardson, Butch Prestwood, Rocky Prestwood, Darrell Haas, and Dwayne Kirby. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
