Lois Virginia Lipford Neely

Lenoir, NC- Ms. Lois Virginia Lipford Neely, age 55, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011 in Fairburn, GA. Ms. Neely was born in Caldwell County on December 5, 1955 to Leo Wilson Lipford and Jo Virginia Patterson Lipford of Fairburn,GA. Ms. Neely resided in Gastonia for 33 years after earning a bachelor̢۪s degree from Appalachian State University. She retired from the Charoltte-Mecklenburg School System as an exceptional children̢۪s teacher with 30 years of service. Ms. Neely was preceded in death by her grandniece, Aleigha Krislyne Reid. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Krystal Leigh Neely, and grandson, Kristopher Logan Neely of Cartersville,GA; brothers, Michael Dale Lipford of Lenoir, NC Anthony Wayne Lipford of Granite Falls, NC, and Barry Neal Lipford of Lenoir,NC ; sisters, Margaret Denise Reid of Winston-Salem, NC, Katie Joanne Davenport of Lenoir, NC and Laura Anita Lipford of Fairburn, GA; 7 nieces, 2 nephews and special family and friends. A celebration of Ms. Neely̢۪s life will be held at St. Paul AME Church, 443 Finley Avenue NW, Lenoir ,NC 28645 on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 2:00 with Pastor Terry Hunt officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Bushtown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service at the church.
