Lois Wilma Coffey Herman, 83, of Lenoir, passed away on September 18, 2022 at her residence following a courageous battle with dementia. Lois was born on July 8, 1939 in Caldwell County to the late Howard and Edna Coffey. Lois was married to Glenn Allen Herman for 35 years. Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed hobbies such as: collecting depression glass and going to auctions. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by six brother and one sister.

In addition to her husband, Lois is survived by her daughter Diane Smith and husband Joe; her son Randy Douglas and wife Pam; daughter Rita Helton and husband Danny; and daughter Janet Berry and husband Allen. She leaves behind four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her caregiver, Elma Hayes.

There will be a graveside service held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Whitnel. The family requests those who attend wear casual attire.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Amorem Hospice and Palliative Care or Alzheimer’s Association.
