Lois Melton Crump

Lenoir, NC – Mrs. Lois Melton Crump, age 81, of Lenoir, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born October 18, 1930 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Crump was a daughter of the late Russell and Polly Ann Melton. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Renee Crump and great-granddaughter, Kenley Olivia Bumgarner. Mrs. Crump was retired from Broyhill Manufacturing and was a longtime member of West Lenoir Baptist Church.  She was a loving Mama to five girls and a loving wife to Jack to whom they would celebrate their 63rd anniversary this September. She is survived by her husband, F. Jack Crump; daughters, Gail C. McCall and husband Jerry; Cynthia C. Melton and husband Steve; Melissa C. Greer and husband Gary; Joi C. Rose and husband Marty; Sisters, Faye M. Townsend, Oralee M. Brakefield, Mary M. Waters, Frances M. Reid; Nancy M Smith; Grandchildren, Chad McCall, Misty M. Grogan, Brandon McCall, Wendy M. Bumgarner, Ryan Melton, Dustin Melton, Kevin Greer, Darrin Greer, Jessica Rose, Dylan Rose, Karey Rose; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mrs. Crump’s life will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, June 30, 2012 at West Lenoir Baptist Church with Reverend Rick Safriet and Reverend Nicky Waters officiating. Interment will be private at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 until 4:00 PM prior to the service at West Lenoir Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be: Chad McCall, Brandon McCall, Ryan Melton, Dustin Melton, Kevin Greer, Darrin Greer, Dylan Rose and Ken Bumgarner.
