Logan Wiseman

Lenoir – Mr. Logan Baxter Wiseman, age 78, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Caldwell Hospice. He was born in Caldwell County on April 29, 1938 to the late John J. Wiseman and Edith Bentley Wiseman. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Chester and his sisters, Ruth Marley and Jewel Huse. Mr. Wiseman spent nine years in the National Guard and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Wiseman is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carolyn Whittington Wiseman; daughters, Debra Wiseman Elliott and Sandy Wiseman Price and husband, Bryan; sister, Annie Mae Huffman; grandchildren, Amy Harbeson; Rebekah George; Amanda Price; Katlyn Chester; Christopher Chester; and great-grandchildren, Macy Cox; Natalee Harbeson; Gracie Staton and Alex George. A celebration of Mr. Wiseman’s life will be held at Mountain View Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 2:00 with Pastor Reggie Wallen officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
