Lizzie Jane Miller

Lenoir, NC- Mrs.  Lizzie Jane Miller, age 72, of Lenoir, died on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at the Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born on June 8, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Clayton and Martha Walsh Moretz. Lizzie was self employed working for many years as a child care provider. She was Baptist by faith, and had attended Closer Walk Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Alma Eggers and Mary Harless. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Burl E. Miller of the home; three sons and daughters in law, Dearyl and Linda Miller of Lesage, WV, Donny and Cindy Miller of Barboursville, WV, and Lester and Diane Miller of Lenoir; one daughter, Sandra Price of Lenoir; one brother, Ira Moretz of Icard; one sister, Margaret Roberts, of Lenoir; five grandchildren, Brandon Miller and wife Sherri of Hudson, April Hargus and husband Derrick of Lenoir, Brandy Lovatto and husband Ian of Lenoir, Heather Miller and Eletta Morrison and husband Josh both of Barboursville, WV; Two great grandchildren, Braeden Miller and Ellic Hollars both of Hudson; she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service. Officiating will be Reverend Gurney Robbins. Interment will follow the service at the Blue Ridge Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Edward Arnold, Steven Arnold, Danny Eggers, Derrick Hargus, Ian Lovatto, and Mike Meeks. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 20, 2009 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Evans Funeral Service.
