Lisa Diane Abel

Hudson – Lisa Diane Abel, age 47, of Hudson went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, April 15, 2016. Born May 5, 1968 in Caldwell County, she was a daughter of Fred “Bill” Abel, Jr. and Linda Cherry Abel of Lenoir. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Fred and Clemmie Abel; her maternal grandparents, Thomas and Margaret Cherry; and niece, Kylee German. Lisa was a member of Flemings Chapel Baptist Church and was very mission minded, traveling to Ireland and India on mission trips. She was currently employed with Fiserv in customer service. Other than her parents, she is survived by her fiancé, Steve Oliver of Hudson; her brother, Thomas William Abel and wife Heather of Lenoir; her sister, Sarah German and husband Garron of Lenoir; her niece, Morgan German; two nephews, Kade German and Pacey Abel and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held 4:00 PM Wednesday at Calvary Advent Christian Church with Reverend Jim Lee and Reverend Lester Honson officiating. The family has requested memorials be made in Lisa’s name to Samaritan’s Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
