Linvale Ryan Wooten

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Linvale Ryan Wooten, age 74, of Lenoir, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.  Born February 3, 1940, in Caldwell County, Mr. Wooten was a son of the late Lloyd Richard and Katherine Swanson Wooten and the husband of Mrs. Gayle Setser Wooten of the home to whom he was married nearly 49 years.Mr. Wooten retired from Broyhill Furniture Industries as an electrical engineer after 45 years of service.  He was a member of College Avenue Baptist Church and had served in the National Guard.Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Wooten.Surviving other than his wife is his son, Ben Wooten of Lenoir; 3 sisters, Mabel Dale and husband Silas of Morganton; Lucy McGuire of Winston-Salem and Linda Helton of Lenoir.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.A celebration of Mr. Wooten’s life will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Josh Lail officiating.  Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park.The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service.The family respectfully requests memorials be made to College Avenue Baptist Church, 1201 College Avenue, SW, Lenoir, NC 28645.Online condolences may be sent to the Wooten Family at www.evansfuneralservice.comEvans Funeral Service & Crematory of Lenoir is serving the Wooten Family.Â
