LINDSEY BENNETT Lenoir, NC- Lindsey Ryan Mohar Bennett, age 30, of Lenoir, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir.She was born June 14, 1984 in Charleston, West Virginia. Lindsey had worked for Bass Shoe Outlet at Shops on the Parkway for several years where she was currently manager.She was a Hibriten High School graduate where she played in the band.She attended Appalachian State University and played in the marching band.Lindsey enjoyed hiking, camping, fishing and spending time at the beach.She was an avid reader and enjoyed bluegrass music.But most of all, Lindsey loved being Eli’s mom. Lindsey is survived by her husband, Chris Bennett of the home and their precious son, Elijah “Eli” Peyton Bennett.She is also survived by her mother Tamara Martin and husband Danny of Lenoir; her father, Tim Mohar of Arkansas; three brothers, MA2(SW/AW) Timothy Chad Mohar of Jacksonville, FL; Willie and Trey Martin, both of Lenoir; her grandmother, Ina Walsh Martin of Lenoir and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A celebration of Lindsey’s life will be held 6:00 PM Thursday, December 11, 2014 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Roger Parker officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 4:00 until 5:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials be made to the Education Fund for Elijah Bennett, c/o any First Citizens Bank & Trust Company.
