Linda Joyce Penland

Ms. Linda Joyce Penland age 82 of Hudson passed away peacefully April 27, 2022, surrounded by family at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC. Linda was born February 24,1940 to John and Nellie Price in Caldwell County. Linda will be remembered in our hearts as a skilled seamstress and quilter, talented artist with a passion for gardening as well as a bird enthusiast. Linda loved working in her beautiful yard surrounded with Roses, Hydrangeas and Day Lilies. She loved anything that bloomed, including her beautiful Orchids inside the home. When she wasn’t gardening, she was making sure all the neighborhood birds and squirrels were well fed. She also loved all her grand dogs. Each Sunday, you could find her watching Charles Stanley Ministries, of which she supported and faithfully followed for many years. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Roger Penland and her daughter, Cheryl Helderman. Linda was loved by her family and will truly be missed. She is survived by her daughter, Maria Penland (Pam), her sister, Patricia Smith (Ronda), her brother, Allan Price (Bob), Son in Law, Gary Helderman and three grandchildren, Casey Helderman (Patricia), Chris Helderman (Christy), Kelly Drum (Jeff). She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, Tanner, Kodey, Maggie, Easton, and Trapper of which she treasured. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 6th, 2022, at 11:00 am at the North Catawba Baptist Church Cemetery in Baton, NC.
