Linda Gail Mullinax Smith

Hudson, NC- Linda Gail Mullinax Smith died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Kings Mountain, NC, she was a daughter to the late Fred and Kathleen Scism Mullinax. Linda was a 1961 graduate of Lincolnton High School and a former resident of Lincolnton, NC. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Lenoir and an adopted member of Enon Baptist Church in Morganton. Until her illness, she worked for many years in retail management with Jack B Quick and River Run in Caldwell County. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ted Allen Smith; one brother, Tommy Mullinax and wife Kathy of Lincolnton; two sisters, Joyce Williams and husband Rodney of Hudson; Kathy Webb and husband Mackie of Lincolnton; and her step-father, Robert Ross of Lincolnton. She leaves behind many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces and three special uncles, all whom she loved so much. Having no children of her own, she cherished the time she spent with all of these. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Frankie Mosteller Turner.
