Linda Hedrick Moore

Hudson, NC- Linda Hedrick Moore of Hudson died suddenly on Friday, February 10, 2012. Linda was a native of Caldwell County, born September 6, 1942 to the late Marguerite Russell Hedrick and Robert W. Hedrick Jr. Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, Douglas K. Moore of the Home; her sister, Susan Boyle, husband Ron, of Aledo, TX; a daughter, Adrienne M. Lewis, husband Brad, of Burlington; two sons, Martin T. Moore, wife Paula, of Asheville and David P. Moore of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Greg and Kevin Lewis, and Courteney and Samantha Moore. Linda graduated from Lenoir High School in 1960 and attended Greensboro Women?s College. She and Doug married in 1961. The couple resided in Boone, NC where Linda worked for the New River Mental Health Center in medical records. She lived in Asheville and Charlotte, working for the North Carolina Peer Review Foundation, and also for the Charlotte Mental Health while there. In Hickory, she was the Director of Medical Records at Ten Broeck Hospital. She recently retired from Western Electronics of Lenoir. The friendships made through these offices have lasted throughout her life. Linda was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend. She was an avid reader, gardener, loved movies, music, Carolina Tarheels Basketball and her dogs PJ and Scooter. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service in Lenoir on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 2:00 PM.
