Linda Karen Martin Sumner

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Linda Karen Martin Sumner, age 51, of Lenoir, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at her home. Born November 18, 1957 in Catawba County, Mrs. Sumner was a daughter of the late William N. and Mary Lou Huffines Martin. Linda was a member of the Hickory Church of Christ where she was a former Sunday School teacher for the younger children. She was a graduate of Fred T. Foard High School class of 1975 and she was also the owner of The Rug Emporium. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Kerry Ray Sumner of the home; two sons, Phillip Ray Sumner and Ross Ryan Sumner, both of Lenoir; one brother, Michael A. Martin and wife Faith of Lexington, NC and two nephews, Adrian N. Martin and Julian M. Martin, both of Greensboro. A celebration of Mrs. Sumner?s life will be held on Saturday December 13,2008 at  3:00 PM at Hickory Church of Christ with Reverend David Galloway officiating. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
