Lillie Mae Hollar

Lenoir, NC – Mrs. Lillie Mae White Hollar, age 82, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Frye Regional Medical Center. She was born in Caldwell County on April 23, 1931 to the late Gaither White and Betty Walker White. Mrs. Hollar loved the Lord and faithfully attended Crossroads Baptist Church where she will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Hollar; son, Larry Dean Hollar; brothers, Ted White, Bob White, and Clarence Walker. She is survived by her children, Douglas Alex Hollar and wife, Diane; Elijah Paul Hollar and wife, Mary Jo; Deborah Teeters; Kimberly King and husband, Gary; Thomas Gregory Hollar; sisters, Doris Townsend, Mary Ellen White, Jeanette Teague, Shirley Daves; brother, Frank White; 16 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mrs. Hollar’s life will be held at Crossroads Baptist Church on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Danny Wright officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.
