Lillian Muriel Truesdel

Lillian Truesdel, 82, of Florida entered peacefully into eternal rest on July 12, 2021 at College Pines Rehabilitation Center of Connelly Springs, NC. Lillian was born on October 30, 1938 in Mt. Vernon, NY to the late Michael Volpato and Virginia Perino Volpato. She was married to the late Donnie Byron Truesdel. Lillian was a dedicated wife and mother who loved her family dearly. Lillian spent her life dedicated to the care of others. She was a cancer survivor who defied all odds. Lillian was a registered nurse and taught nursing students in both Florida and North Carolina. In addition to her parents and husband, Lillian is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Volpato. Lillian is survived by her daughters: Linda Cunningham, and husband Scott, of Florida and Cheryl Bauer, and husband Louis, of North Carolina. She is survived by her siblings: Tommy Volpato and Marion Barrett. Lillian is survived by her grandchildren: Kimberly Lombardi, Ashley Hicks, Melinda Lamp, Scott Cunningham, Jr., and Veronica Bauer. She is survived by her great-grandchildren: Alexandra Lombardi and Gabriel Bauer. There will be a funeral service held at St. Dorothy’s Catholic Church located at 148 St. Dorothy’s Lane, Lincolnton, NC on Friday, July 16, 2021 starting promptly at 10:00 am.
