Leonard Morrow

Mr. Leonard Julius Morrow, age 77, of Lenoir passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. Born August 22, 1941 in Caldwell County, Leonard was the son of the late Roscoe and Mae Richardson Morrow.Leonard spent most of his life as a firefighter in Caldwell County.He enjoyed working in his yard and helping his son Travis mow grass.In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Sarah T. Morrow; a sister, Virginia Crook; a step son, Steven Ellis. Survivors include his son, Travis Morrow (wife Regina) of Lenoir; a granddaughter, Taylor Morrow of Lenoir; a step daughter, Denise Philyaw (husband Clyde) of Lenoir; he is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Leonard’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Pastor Leonard Younce officiating.Interment will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Memorials can be made to the McCreary Cancer Center at 212 Mulberry St. SW, Lenoir, NC28645.
