Lena Faye Townsend

Hudson,NC- Mrs. Lena Faye Townsend, age 84,of Hudson, passed away June 4, 2010, at her residence. Mrs. Townsend was born in Caldwell County to the late John W. Austin and Bonnie Bumgarner Austin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard L. Townsend, four brothers, John C. Austin, Clarence C. Austin, Emory A. Austin, and Doyle F. Austin. Mrs. Townsend is survived by two sisters, Martha Austin Clark, and Mary L. Austin and husband, Bill Austin. Mrs. Townsend was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2010, 4:00 PM, at Friendship Baptist Church with Dr. Wayne Caviness officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Austin, Mark Austin, Eric Austin, Russell Dunn, John Austin, and Scott Philyaw. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Ladies II Sunday School Class of Friendship Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 8, 2010, from 3:00 until 4:00, at Friendship Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Friendship Baptist Church.
