Lena Adams Broyhill Justice

Hudson, NC- Mrs. Lena Jean Adams Broyhill Justice, age 67, of Hudson, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care in Hudson. Born November 19, 1944 in Wilkes County, Lena was a daughter of the late Wilbur Adams and Doshie Adams Porter. She had worked for several years as a caregiver. She enjoyed gardening and will be remembered for her green thumb. Lena loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Broyhill; four brothers and one sister. Survivors include three daughters and sons in law, Sheila Broyhill Laws, husband Bill, of Lenoir, Debby Broyhill Welch, husband James, of Lenoir, Crystal Broyhill Barnes, husband Doffis, of Lenoir; a son, Rex Broyhill of Winter Park, Florida; her grandchildren, Auburn Broyhill Metz, Trey Barnes, China Barnes, Emerald Laws and Hannah Laws; two great grandchildren, Jacob and Ethan Metz; she is also survived by four brothers and numerous other relatives. A graveside celebration of Lena’s life will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiating will be Reverend Scott Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care at 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
