Leila Grindstaff Berry

Leila Marie Grindstaff Berry, age 92, of Lenoir,  North Carolina passed away on March 4, 2023.

Leila was born on September 12, 1930 to the late Claude and Maggie Sue Grindstaff.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Mack Ray Berry; daughter, Rosa Lee Berry;  sister, Reaney Vance; brother, Louis Grindstaff, Cecil Grindstaff, and Neil Grindstaff.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Billy Berry; daughter, Glenda Flynn; sisters, Mildred Townsend, Elsie Berry (husband Ralph), Norma Bentley (husband Howard); brothers, Clarence Grindstaff (wife Carol) and James Grindstaff (wife Reva); and grandson, Daniel Kirby; caregiver, Diane Bumgarner; and numerous family members.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Seeds for Harvest Church in Granite Falls with Pastor Mike Owens officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. Burial will be held at 3:00PM at Holy Communion Lutheran Church Cemetery, 1525 Clarks Creek Rd Banner Elk, N.C. (Foscoe Community in Watauga County).
