Lawrence Boone Barlowe

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Lawrence Boone Barlowe, age 78, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born in Caldwell County on May 17, 1935 to the late Boone Barlow and Mamie Sherrill Barlow. He was married to Eugenia “Jean” Propst Barlowe for more than 56 years. Mr. Barlowe was a veteran of the United States Army and spent most of his career as a building contractor. Other than his wife he is survived by his sons, Eric S. Barlowe; Deckster L. Barlowe and wife, Angie; brothers, Bruce Sherrill Barlow and Lloyd W. Barlowe; sister, Doris Humphries; grandchildren, Colby Boone Barlowe, Cooper Thompson Barlowe, Camden Ford Barlowe, Nicholas Lee Barlowe, Jacob Heath Johnson, Ashton Brette Barlowe,and Calli Rae Barlowe; and his special Yorkie companion, Casey. A memorial service will be held at Tabernacle Advent Christian Church on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 3:00 with Pastor Frank Hall officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 prior to the service at the church.
