Lenoir, NC- Mr. Lawrence Everett Andrews, age 81 of Lenoir, died Monday, March 9, 2009 at his home. Born January 23, 1928 in Johnson City, TN, he was a son of the late Kenny Ready ?K.R.? and Maude Agnes Wilson Andrews and the husband of Ina ?Ruth? Trivette Andrews to whom he was married over 57 years. Mr. Andrews had worked for Waldensian Bakery for 29 years and retired from Bernhardt Furniture. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Virginia Andrews Arnold and two sisters, Wayve Andrews and Joyce Shell. Other than his wife, he is survived by his son, Larry Wayne Andrews and wife Pat of Gamewell; his son-in-law, Austin Jett Arnold of Lenoir; brother, Norman Andrews of Indiana; two sisters, Phyllis Smith of Johnson City, TN; Betty Lankford of Wilmington, NC; 5 grandchildren, Criston Arnold of Lenoir; Clint Andrews of Lenoir, Ashley Arnold of Hickory and Tracie Arnold of Asheville and 3 great-grandchildren, Tori Arnold, Gabrielle Andrews and Isaac Andrews all of Lenoir. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, March 12, 2009 in the Big Flats Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Chris Cox officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 from 7 until 9 PM at Evans Funeral Service of Lenoir. Memorials may be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
