Laverne Rector Clark

Hudson, NC- Mrs. LaVerne Rector Clark went to be with The Lord on Wednesday, October 18, 2006. Born in Burke County, Mrs. Clark was a daughter of the late Pleaze Allen and Inez Burnette Rector. Mrs. Clark was a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church where she was very active with the bus ministry. She loved the church kids and worked hard to see they had a way to church. She is survived by her husband, Tom Clark of the home; 3 sons, Shane Clark and wife Ginger of Lenoir; Derek Clark of Hudson; Rusty Clark and wife Angel of Lenoir; 2 grandsons, Scott Clark and wife Samantha of Arkansas; Steven Clark and wife Brandy of Granite Falls; 3 great-grandsons, Cody Clark and Dalton Story both of Granite Falls; Xavier Clark of Arkansas; 1 great-granddaughter, Xena Marie Clark of Arkansas; one sister, Judy Bolick of Hudson; one brother, David Rector of Hudson and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, October 20, 2006 at Harris Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Edd Warren and Reverend Allen Norrod officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 Friday, one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary of Harris Chapel Baptist Church. Honorary Pallbearers will be the workers and children of Harris Chapel Baptist Church Bus Ministry.
