Larry Hoyle

Lenoir – Larry Richard Hoyle, Sr., age 82, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, April 2, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Caldwell County on November 28, 1938 to the late Euray Hoyle and Ila Campbell Hoyle. He was married to Pearl Farmer Hoyle of the home for more than 58 years. Larry loved his family and friends dearly and enjoyed being outdoors. He liked hunting, being on his tractor, watching westerns and going to eat breakfast with his buddies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Larry Hoyle, Jr.; six brothers and one sister. Other than his wife, Larry is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Hoyle Dula and husband, Mark; daughter-in-law, Teresa Hoyle; brother, Ted Hoyle; sister, Kathryn Hoyle Tolbert; and grandchildren, Cameron Dula and wife, Brittany; Brooke Dula Stewart and husband, Tyler; and Hope Dula; great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Owen Dula and Sadie Stewart. A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Cameron Dula and Pastor Mark Dula officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jeff Hoyle presiding. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Caldwell Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
