Larry Dean Haas

Lenoir – Larry Dean Haas, age 61, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Caldwell Hospice. He was born in Caldwell County on August 5, 1953 to Marie Clark Haas. Larry was married to Deborah Drum Haas of the home for 36 years. Larry was a member of Lenoir Community Church for most of his life where he was a proud member of the Southernaires. He worked 37 years for Hickory Springs Manufacturingand was a former member of the Hudson Optimist Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Allen Dean and wife, Marion Corbette; sister, Betty Coffey and husband, Alex; brother, Rodney Haas and wife, Betty; grandchildren, Marion Elaina and Asher Dean; and was expecting his third grandchild soon. A celebration of Larry’s life will be held Lenoir Community Church on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Daniel McGee officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family respectfully requests that memorials be sent to Caldwell Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 prior to the service.
